Welcome to the Blogging Prizes! It doesn't matter if English is not your first language: we focus on the quality of your argument and the originality of your ideas. The winner gets up to $2400, with a 2nd Prize of up to $1200 and a 3rd Prize of up to $400.

To participate, authors had to write an article of 600 to 1500 words on one of the topics below:

  1. “I don’t feel that it is necessary to know exactly what I am. The main interest in life and work is to become someone else that you were not in the beginning.” – Michel Foucault. Discuss.
  2. “La haine attire la haine.” (Hate attracts hate.) - From La Haine, dir. Mathieu Kassovitz. Discuss.
  3. “If there’s no conflict, there are no stories worth telling – or reading.” - Veronica Roth. Do you agree?
  4. "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” – Henry Ford. Discuss.

It doesn't matter if English was not the author's first language: the Jury will focus on the quality of arguments and the originality of ideas.
