In recognition of the important role played by teachers, schools and educational charities, NUHA offers matched Prizes!

Matched Prizes for Teachers

Teachers play a critical role in the development of their students. The matched Prizes are designed both to encourage teachers and to support them. There are two matched Prizes: one of $1000 and one of $250.

To win the $1000 matched Prize:

  • There must be at least 100 published entries in the Youth category
  • At least 30 published students indicated the teacher's name on their submission form, in the box "How did you hear about the Blogging Prizes"
  • One of these 30 students is the Winner of the Youth category

To win the $250 matched Prize:

  • There must be at least 50 published entries in the Young Writers category
  • At least 30 published students indicated the teacher's name on their submission form, in the box "How did you hear about the Blogging Prizes"
  • One of these 30 students is the Winner of the Young Writers category

The school environment plays a critical role in the development of students. The matched Prizes are designed both to encourage schools in primary and secondary education and to support them. There are two matched Prizes: one of $1000 and one of $250.

To win the $1000 matched Prize:

  • There must be at least 100 published entries in the Youth category
  • At least 50 published students indicated the school's name on their submission form, in the box "What is the name of your school"
  • One of these 50 students is the Winner of the Youth category

To win the $250 matched Prize:

  • There must be at least 50 published entries in the Young Writers category
  • At least 50 published students indicated the school's name on their submission form, in the box "What is the name of your school"
  • One of these 50 students is the Winner of the Young Writers category

Matched Prizes for registered educational charities and schools

Civil society plays a critical role in the field of education. The matched Prizes are designed both to encourage and support this civil society. There is one matched Prize of $2500.

To win the $2500 matched Prize:

  • There must be at least 1000 published entries across all three age categories
  • The recipient of the matched Prize will be the registered educaitonal charity (wherever it may be based) or the school (primary and/or secondary education) chosen by the Winner in the Adult category, with NUHA's agreement
