Programmes

The NUHA Foundation has two active programmes: Libraries for Development and English Conversation

To reach this stage, our programmes undergo a rigorous process of formulation whereby we set clear, pragmatic and realistic objectives, both for the short term and with a view to the long term. To ensure that our programmes fulfil their promises on such a large time-scale, we think hard about their sustainability.

While we may be starry-eyed when communicating about our work, we are hard-nosed business professionals when it comes down to determining whether a programme flies: not only is this in the interest of our beneficiaries, it is also crucial to the team - we are volunteers with full time jobs or studies, and do not give of our spare time lightly.

Past the formulation stage, we run pilots of our programmes. Both our programmes have now reached this stage, as further detailed in the Impact pages of this website. We eagerly look forward to the outcome of this process!
